A licensed social worker is needed to provide essential mental health and social services within a school setting in Ypsilanti, MI. This contract role focuses on supporting students' emotional, social, and academic development through direct intervention, counseling, and collaboration with school staff and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct student assessments and develop individualized support plans
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students facing emotional or behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs and promote a positive school environment
- Connect students and families with community resources and services
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with confidentiality standards
Qualifications:
- Licensed social worker credentialed to practice in educational settings
- Experience working with school-aged children and adolescents preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Knowledge of social service and mental health resources beneficial
